Concept2 SkiErg

Concept2 SkiErg: The Concept2 SkiErg is a wall-mounted or floor-standing air resistance machine that simulates the double-pole motion of cross-country skiing.

What is Concept2 SkiErg?

The Concept2 SkiErg uses the same air resistance flywheel technology as the RowErg but is oriented vertically for a pulling-down motion. It primarily works the lats, core, triceps, and hip flexors. The SkiErg is used by cross-country skiers, CrossFit athletes, HYROX competitors, and rowers for cross-training. It comes in two configurations: wall-mounted and floor-standing (with a base). The PM5 monitor displays the same metrics as the rowing erg — split, distance, stroke rate, calories — making training data directly comparable across Concept2 machines. The SkiErg is an excellent complement to rowing because it emphasises the upper body and core while giving the legs relative rest.

How Watta Uses Concept2 SkiErg

Watta can capture SkiErg workout data from the PM5 screen using the same AI-powered photo capture as rowing workouts. The Effort Score algorithm applies the same watts-based calculations to SkiErg sessions, allowing you to compare effort across different Concept2 machines.
