PM5 Monitor
By the Watta Team · Updated
What is PM5 Monitor?
The PM5 is the fifth generation of Concept2 performance monitors and the standard display on all current RowErg, SkiErg, and BikeErg machines. It provides real-time feedback including pace (split time per 500m), total distance, time elapsed, stroke rate, watts, calories per hour, and heart rate (when connected to an ANT+ or Bluetooth HR monitor). The PM5 supports Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity for pairing with apps and heart rate monitors. It features a backlit display, built-in games, and memory storage for workout data. The PM5 can display workouts in multiple formats: just row, intervals, and preset distances/times.
How Watta Uses PM5 Monitor
Watta's AI-powered OCR is specifically trained to read PM5 screen layouts. Whether you photograph a summary screen, interval results, or in-progress display, Watta identifies and extracts all visible metrics including time, distance, split, stroke rate, heart rate, and calories.
