Concept2 Memory
What is Concept2 Memory?
The Concept2 PM5 Performance Monitor stores workout data in internal memory. It automatically saves every workout completed, retaining data for approximately the last 200 sessions (or until memory is full, at which point oldest workouts are overwritten). Stored data includes: date, time, total distance, total time, average split, average stroke rate, average watts, and stroke-by-stroke data for workouts. Users can review past workouts directly on the PM5 screen by navigating to More Options > Memory. For more detailed analysis, workout data can be transferred via USB flash drive or Bluetooth connection to the ErgData app, Concept2 Logbook, or third-party applications. The PM5 also stores user profiles, personalised workout lists, and training data synced from the Concept2 Logbook.
How Watta Uses Concept2 Memory
Watta works alongside the PM5 memory system. While the PM5 stores basic workout summaries, Watta captures real-time heart rate data and applies the Effort Score algorithm to provide deeper analysis than the PM5's built-in memory review can offer.
