Training Log
What is Training Log?
A training log records every workout with key metrics: date, distance, time, average split, stroke rate, heart rate data, drag factor, workout type (steady state, intervals, test), and subjective notes (how it felt, sleep quality, fatigue level). Consistent logging enables: tracking progress over weeks and months, identifying patterns in performance and recovery, setting accurate training paces from benchmark results, and adjusting programming based on data rather than guesswork. Training logs can be maintained in spreadsheets, notebooks, the Concept2 Logbook, or dedicated apps. The most important factor is consistency — an incomplete log is less useful than a comprehensive one.
How Watta Uses Training Log
Watta is a training log with intelligence. Every workout photo creates a comprehensive log entry with extracted metrics and an Effort Score. The app provides trend analysis, effort distribution, and training insights that a manual log cannot — turning data entry into actionable training intelligence.
